HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR YORKIE BREEDER |
Is the mother on the spot?
The mother of the puppy is always the first one to teach the little things in life to her babies!
Seeing the mother's behavior, his character, his intelligence, his wit, will gives us a good clue to the future behavior of these small treasures.
Here are several important points to observe in the small mom:
Where does the mother come from?.
Does the mother live in the house with the breeder or is it a dog that is used only for breeding, reproduction (poor little girl her, if that is the case!) and lives almost permanently in a cage?
What are the learning abilities of the mother?
.
Does the mother ever take training classes? Is she able to perform tricks. Is she have a good commination with her masters, is she able to make her master understand what she wants when she wants something?

My little Mimi is so smart. She will use several tactics to make us understand something, if we do not understand the first time.
She will gives us a little lick on the hand when she wants to be scratched. A small lick and she throws herself on the back when she simply wants to be petted. A little head tap on his water bowl to tell us when it is empty and she is thirsty. A little whining in the kitchen when dinner time arrived and we are a little bit late ... and a lot more.
My little Mia is the spitting image of her mother ... as quick-witted ... and sometimes even as manipulative! She knows that she is so cutte and small and she often take advantage of it!!!
Imagined she sometimes pretends to do her little pee in the right place only because she knows that whan we caught her doing her thing at the right place, she is getting a little reward!
What is the temperament of the mother..
The mother: is she fearful, does she bark incessantly, does she tries to bite you, is she nervous and agitated? or rather is she sweet, sociable, are in control and feel good and is happy in your presence?
Is the mother always with her puppies?.
Puppies should be all the time in contact with their mother since she makes their education when they are very small.
Does she handles well all of her puppies? Does she give them a lot of milk? Is she a good mother, protective of those little ones? Some mother will even reject and leave their puppies, which is really not desirable.
Does the mother corrects her puppies?.
When a small puppy does something wrong, does the mother do her work by correcting him, either by biting him a little bit or by growling to make him understand what he should and should not do.
Is the dad there, on the spot, on the scene?
If you have the opportunity to also see the dad ... it is even better.
In dogs the dad does not really play a role in the education of the puppy but as the dogs temperament is partly inherited, this may be a good indicator of future behavior of the puppy.
